What to Expect the First Time You Come in for a HydraFacialMD

As a rule, the first time you do something is almost always the most uncertain.

This is one of the most popular facials in the world, the choice of many Hollywood celebrities. And it’s… a bit more involved than the stereotypical mud mask and soft music that comes to mind when you think of a facial. Yes, the HydraFacialMD has many different steps, but you don’t need to be nervous. You just have to sit back and let us do all the work!
HydraFacials are Non-Invasive
The first thing you need to know about the HydraFacialMD is that it’s completely non-invasive. When you come into a cosmetic surgery practice, you may expect surgery to be a significant component in the care. But in our Medical Spa all treatments are either minimally invasive or non-invasive.
It’s Super Customizable
Nobody has exactly the same skin. Everyone’s skin has their own quirks. Some have to deal with excessive dryness, while others deal with excessive oiliness. Some have super-sensitive skin, and some you could take a chisel to and the person wouldn’t bat an eye. (FYI, we DON’T do that!)
With the HydraFacialMD, we can customize the treatment for your specific skincare issues. If you have sensitive skin and want to reduce the strength of the peel, that’s absolutely no problem. If you think that your skin can handle it, we can make the peel stronger. It’s entirely up to you.
It’s a Quick Treatment
Facials often stir up images of lazy days at the spa, lounging by a pool. But we don’t have time for that at Azul; we’re too busy giving people impactful rejuvenation treatments (in a calm, quiet environment).
The HydraFacialMD can be performed in as little as 30minutes. That’s right, you could do it over your lunch break! This is fantastic for those who have busy schedules, as they can just drop into Azul for a HydraFacialMD, and then head immediately to their next appointment without missing a beat. There is no recovery time associated with it, so no one will notice a thing, except a remarkable rejuvenation!
We usually schedule you for an hour to allow time for makeup removal, possible massage and maybe even a cooling serum or mask. So, we can give you the core HydraFacial in 30 minutes, but it you’ve got 45 minutes, we’d love to give your skin a bit more TLC!
There Are Four Stages
There are four stages of the HydraFacial MD.
- Cleansing and Exfoliation – We remove dead skin cells and other debris using a special spiral tool.
- Acid Peel – We give you a mild chemical exfoliation to loosen up deep-seated dirt and get rid of anything we missed during the cleansing.
- Extractions – We use a special vacuum tool to literally suck out impurities like blackheads.
- Hydration – We finish by infusing your skin with special serums and other skincare products to nourish every layer of your skin and give you that healthy glow that we all crave!
