DiamondGlow®
DiamondGlow®
When looking into a mirror, you might notice that your skin is no longer as radiant or vibrant as it used to be. This can be caused by different things like natural aging, sun exposure, or even external factors such as pollution. Several cosmetic treatments were developed to improve dull and tired-looking skin, a very popular option being DiamondGlow®. At Azul® Cosmetic Surgery & Medical Spa, we offer DiamondGlow® treatments so that you may unlock your radiant, glowing skin.
Candidates
You may be a good candidate for the DiamondGlow® treatment if you notice that your skin no longer has that radiant glow. If your skin is looking dull or tired, the treatment can help reduce impurities and restore hydration in your dermis.
Patients with large pores, fine lines, and sun damage can also be considered good candidates for the DiamondGlow® treatment. DiamondGlow® is a customizable treatment, and it is suitable for patients with sensitive skin.
If you have an active condition on your skin like rosacea, eczema, inflamed acne, or psoriasis, a consultation with Azul® Cosmetic Surgery & Medical Spa is necessary. Depending on your concern, we may recommend that you wait until the flare is reduced, making your skin less sensitive. Additionally, DiamondGlow® may not be considered appropriate for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, although a customized alternative can be provided.
How DiamondGlow® Works
DiamondGlow® is a three-step treatment that aims to exfoliate, extract, and infuse your skin with nutrients so that you may get back your healthy glow.
The handheld tool features a patented diamond tip wand that can exfoliate dead skin while extracting the impurities from your pores. This may offer your skin a deep clean, which allows for serums and skincare products to penetrate deeper into your pores. The extraction portion will prepare your skin for the next stage of the treatment.
Once your face has been efficiently cleansed during the exfoliation and extraction process, a special serum will be chosen based on your skin type. If you want to reduce sun spots or other forms of pigmentation, skin brightening serums may be infused in your pores. If your skin looks dull and dehydrated, then an ultra-hydrating serum is recommended. There are five serums from which you can choose upon the consultation.
Recovery
One of the best parts of the DiamondGlow® treatment is that the potential for downtime is minimal. Most patients can return to their daily routine right after their treatment! Since your skin is fairly sensitive at this point, you should stay away from direct sunlight exposure and make sure you wear sunblock.
While the DiamondGlow® treatment is fairly gentle, you may experience some mild side effects. The most common is a tingling sensation caused by the diamond tip wand that fades after you receive the treatment.
Following the DiamondGlow® treatment, you may notice some temporary redness and mild swelling, which should subside within a few hours. Some tenderness can also be experienced within the first hours. It is recommended that you do not touch your face during this time, as you may get bacteria into your healing skin. Follow the post-procedure skincare recommendations to ensure the smoothest recovery.
Results
The DiamondGlow® treatment can offer both immediate and progressive results after just one session. As the dead skin is removed from your skin and pores, you will look less tired and dehydrated. The serum infusions can offer you an immediate glow, making your skin feel softer and more youthful.
Many of the effects of the DiamondGlow® treatment become evident within a few weeks after your session. The exfoliation process starts your body’s collagen production, reducing the appearance of fine lines and other aging signs. With each visit, you may notice that your skin tone has improved, and your texture is much smoother, and your larger pores are not as obvious.
The infused serums will also help rejuvenate your skin on a cellular level, repairing the damage and offering you a brighter complexion. The effects can last up to eight weeks, the best effect becoming noticeable after two to three weeks. It is recommended you opt for three treatments spaced once a month in the beginning, after which you may schedule maintenance treatments once every three months.
