Age, environmental factors, and other lifestyle choices can really do a number on your skin. That’s why it’s so important to protect your skin with serums, creams, and face coverings (like hats, visors, or sunglasses). The frustrating truth is that once the damage is done, it can be difficult to reverse. At Azul® Cosmetic Surgery & Medical Spa, we are proud to offer our patients many skin health serums, creams, and vitamins that can help to keep your skin healthy, glowing, and fresh. Whether you are suffering from dry, aging, crepey skin or dull, wrinkled skin, our Tinted Mineral Defense and Dermal C with B, E and Ferulic Acid can help provide you with vibrant, renewed, and protected skin year-round to help you feel more comfortable and confident about the way you look. And best of all, these products are on special now!
What Is Tinted Mineral Defense?
Our Tinted Mineral Defense is a broad-spectrum, all-mineral SPF 30 protection that is both light and hydrating. It is infused with botanical extracts to defend against environmental damage and infra-aging, and its nutrient-rich formula visibly repairs and conditions the skin by using tightening and firming ingredients to improve the look of dry skin.
Scheduling a consultation with one of our professionals is the best way to find out if this product would work for you and your concerns; generally, this product is recommended for all skin types. Here at Azul®, sunscreen is one of the most important products we recommend to avoid damage from the sun especially after you’ve had a procedure, whether it is a HydraFacial® treatment, a BBL™, or surgery.
How Do I Use Tinted Mineral Defense?
Skin health is so important, and protecting your skin is vital tor having that beautiful, luminous glow you desire. To defend your skin properly, patients must apply liberally and evenly 15 minutes before going out into the sun. Additionally, all areas that will be exposed to the skin should be touched by our tinted mineral defense cream. It is also important to reapply every two hours to help ensure that you are getting enough protection and nutrients, which can help your body defend against the natural aging process.
What Is Vitamin C?
When you think of vitamin C, the first thing that probably comes to mind is orange juice. While you can get some of the amazing benefits through the beverage itself, a vitamin C topical product can provide noticeable results for your skin. This treatment can help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, all while brightening your skin. Vitamin C boosts collagen, improves elasticity of your skin, and repairs damaged cells to create a healthy, radiant glow. Dermal C has been a cornerstone of our recommended skincare regimens for as long as we’ve been in business! We have just formulated a new and improved powerhouse Dermal C product to add ingredients, including Vitamins B, E and Ferulic Acid. This product is smooth and hydrating without being sticky or oily, so you can use it daily to achieve smoother, firmer, and plumper skin.
Can You Use Too Much Vitamin C?
A thorough consultation with our skin specialists will give you a better, individualized idea of what your skin can handle. While some patients can only tolerate one application per day or sometimes every other day, other patients can handle a more concentrated vitamin C. We recommend applying the serum in the morning because it helps protect skin from UV light (from the sun) as it traps the reactive oxygen species (ROS). Applying first, before your sunscreen and makeup, allows the ingredients to absorb into the skin and dry before adding more products.
Both of these skin-health products can be effective when combating aging and environmental factors naturally. They each protect and help to rebuild the skin so that you can enjoy a more luminous, natural glow.
