The Magic of Azul’s Brand New Skin Analysis Machine!
- Posted on: Oct 10 2018
The science fiction of yesterday is the reality of today.
Back in the 60s and 70s, lasers were all the rage in science fiction. From Star Trek to Star Wars, lasers were nothing but space fantasy fun. Fast forward to today and we offer many laser (genuine lasers!) treatments right here at Azul. Science caught up with the fantasy and is now used in everything from Blu-Ray players to the Halo to Fraxel Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatment.
We’re about to have another breakthrough where science fiction becomes science reality. Using a special scanner, we can now create a super-detailed, completely accurate 3D image of your face. We can use the software skin analysis tools and this 3D data to examine beneath the skin, helping us identify issues before they are even visible. If you want to get a detailed look into exactly what’s happening with your skin, you can do it with Azul’s brand new skin analysis machine, the Image Pro 3D!
The Image Pro 3D
Most people have seen 3D representations of houses or rooms. The problem is that, for the most part, these 3D scans are never very detailed and always seem to suffer from distortion.
With the Image Pro III 3D can capture a perfect 3D image of your face and skin. We then use it to analyze your skin, giving you a more detailed and unique look at your pores, wrinkles and spots than you could imagine.
How Does the Image Pro 3D Work?
The Image Pro 3D is one of those great pieces of technology that, even after you see it do its thing, you still can’t believe it.
All you have to do is place your face into the Image Pro 3D scanner. Don’t worry, it’s completely safe, with no x-rays or anything like that. Small, highly detailed photos are taken of sections of your face. Once your entire face has been scanned, the software uses this data to ensemble a perfect 3D image of your face.
Different Kinds of Light
Examining your skin under different kinds of light can illuminate different types of problems. With the Image Pro 3D, we can illuminate and examine targeted areas of your face in normal, polarized and UV light.
Normal Light: This is essentially a view of what we normally get during a physical examination, only highly magnified. It allows us to identify surface-level issues we might not otherwise be able to see.
Polarized: Polarized light gives us an even more detailed look at the surface of your skin, at issues like pigmentation and sunspots.
UV Light: As UV light penetrates the skin (which is why you need to wear sunscreen), we can use it to get a look beneath the surface of the skin to identify issues that aren’t yet visible.
What Can We Do with This Information
In the cosmetic medical profession, information is like gold. The more we have, the better we can do. Using the Image Pro 3D scanner, we can enhance the images of your skin to see things that would be almost impossible with the naked eye. This allows us to accurately measure and track wrinkles and fine lines, sun damage, pore size, skin texture and any capillary damage.
With this information, our Clinical Staff are able to tell which treatments will give you your best results. For example, if you have small, broken capillaries, we might recommend BBL or IPL Therapy to eliminate them. If you have extensive sun damage, he might recommend using laser therapy like the Halo, Fraxel or CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing to remove damaged skin and reveal the healthier, more youthful skin beneath. Fine lines and wrinkles can also be addressed with a combination of Botox and dermal fillers. The information gathered by the Image Pro 3D allows us to target your specific issues with unparalleled accuracy.
The entire process of getting your face scanned by the Image Pro 3D only takes about ten minutes. Using this data, we can recommend the exact procedures (surgical, non-surgical and Medical Spa treatments) that will lead you to the harmonious rejuvenation that you’ve been looking for!
