If you have been exercising and dieting but cannot seem to get rid of your muffin top, or love handles, our new liposuction/BodyTite treatment may be the solution. Azul is now offering in-office liposuction with body tightening to up the game in body contouring.
Liposuction is a common cosmetic procedure that can reduce unwanted fat permanently helping you recapture your youthful figure. As we age we accumulate extra fat in our abdomen, flanks, back, inner and outer thighs, buttocks, arms, neck and inner knees. These are the common areas addressed with this safe, in office procedure.
The liposuction/BodyTite procedure involves inserting a narrow cannula through tiny incisions in the skin. Gentle suction is applied as the cannula is passed back and forth through the tissue gradually removing excess fat from the treatment area until the ideal contour is achieved. After the fat is removed the BodyTite radiofrequency energy is applied to the treatment area to further tighten the skin improving your results.
Why are liposuction results better with skin tightening?
The process of fat removal during liposuction will stimulate some skin contraction which will tighten the overlying skin to a small degree. With the addition of BodyTite, radiofrequency energy is delivered under the skin using a small probe which is passed through the same opening used for the liposuction. The undersurface of the skin is gently heated to the ideal temperature to further tighten the skin. The liposuction/BodyTite procedure not only improves the shape and contour of your body, but it also improves your skin tone. This greatly improves our results when compared to traditional liposuction alone.
Who is an ideal candidate for liposuction and a skin tightening procedure?
The ideal candidate for the liposuction/BodyTite procedure is a healthy adult who is close to his or her ideal weight but is troubled by stubborn pockets of fat that fail to respond to diet and exercise. The liposuction/BodyTite combination is done in the office with local anesthetic and light sedation with oral medication. The procedure is limited to 2 to 4 treatment areas per session to keep the procedure time short and the patients comfortable.
