Candidates
Ideal candidates for Sofwave™ are typically men and women in their 30s and older who have mild to moderate skin aging with some degree of fine lines and wrinkles.
How Sofwave™ Works
Using proprietary Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam Technology SUPERB™, energy precisely passes through the skin’s surface (the epidermis), heating the mid-dermal tissue at just the right depth and temperature, while protecting the skin’s surface with a cooling mechanism, to rejuvenate collagen fibers and improve the overall appearance of aging skin. As the ultrasound energy is delivered, patients may feel warmth in the skin. Treatment is made comfortable by applying a topical anesthetic cream just before the treatment. The Sofwave™ treatment is effective, safe, and comfortable for most patients.
Recovery
There is no downtime or pain post-treatment. There are no lingering sensations, and there is no need to apply special care to the skin after your Sofwave™ treatment. Patients may resume their daily routine immediately after their treatment.
Results
Immediate results can be seen as soon as one week after the treatment has been completed. However, the collagen regeneration process can sometimes take up to 12 weeks, so patients can expect to see ongoing improvements in the 3-month period after their treatment. Final results will reveal revitalized skin that is smoother and firmer.
