Evoke
What is Evoke?
Evoke is the first and only FDA-cleared, non-invasive, all-in-one, hands-free facial remodeling device. This state-of-the-art thermal skin rejuvenating platform remodels facial tissue and delivers the ultimate in thermal facial procedures. Evoke’s proprietary non-invasive technology delivers a structural reorganization of the facial and neck tissues. The three-dimensional remodeling of these areas produces results associated with a youthful appearance with no anesthesia, surgical scars, or downtime.
How does Evoke work?
A specially designed headgear is worn by the patient, and a series of fully programmable, hands-free applicators are used to deliver bipolar RF energy to the target problem areas such as the cheeks, jowls, jawline, and neck. RF energy is delivered to the surface and the subdermal layers of the skin. Similar to other lasers and devices, Evoke heats the skin and triggers the skin cells to tighten as collagen and elastin production is stimulated. This thermal response of the skin can help loosen and reposition fat, tighten the tissue, and tone the overlying skin.
Is Evoke a surgical procedure?
No, Evoke is a non-invasive facial remodeling treatment that can provide a youthful appearance without any surgical intervention or downtime. During the treatment, you will feel only mild warmth.
How do I know if Evoke is right for me?
Face sculpting with Evoke is suitable for anyone with mildly sagging skin in the neck and cheek area, or those who simply want tighter-looking skin for a more contoured facial profile without the need for surgery. During consultation, your provider can determine if you are an appropriate candidate for Evoke.
Do Evoke treatments hurt?
While there are many ways to rejuvenate the face, few are as comfortable as Evoke. Evoke requires no anesthesia and your provider will use a protective gel to evenly distribute heat while preventing any skin damage. Most patients report that the skin feels mildly warm withsubtle sensations on the treatment area, similar to a facial massage.
How many treatments will I need?
The Evoke treatment lasts for approximately 20 – 45 minutes, depending on your cosmetic goals. Even though might see the treatment’s results immediately, you will need 3-4 treatments, spaced 1 week apart, to ensure optimal results.
The lower face and neck are susceptible to particular signs of aging. With a decrease in mid-facial volume, the jawline softens and develops jowls. With a decrease in collagen production and loss of fatty tissue, the mid-face cannot help but lose some of its contours over time. At Azul Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa, these and other concerns can be handled through the use of innovative technologies. We are proud to offer Evoke, a skin-tightening treatment proven to acheive impressive results.
What is the recovery and aftercare for Evoke?
Evoke is a completely non-invasive treatment. As such, it does not incur significant side effects that require downtime for recovery. After treatment, patients may experience some degree of redness in the jowls and cheek area. This looks like a very minor sunburn or some flushing. It’s not enough to cause patients to avoid their normal activities. While it’s possible to resume normal engagements after Evoke treatment, including going back to work, we do suggest that patients avoid all forms of excessive heat for the first 24 hours after their appointment. This way, the redness that occurs does not worsen unnecessarily.
What conditions does Evoke treat?
The Evoke radiofrequency treatment device is designed to address issues that occur on the lower face. The patented applicator and technology are made for jawline contouring through skin tightening and fat-reduction. Evoke may be an excellent treatment option if you have mild to moderate:
- Mid-face tissue laxity or loss of cheek contours
- Excess fatty tissue across the mid-face
- Double chin
- Tissue laxity under the chin
- Jowls
How soon after the procedure will I see my results?
Evoke treatments work by heating up the subcutaneous tissue beneath the skin. Here, the transfer of thermal energy causes collagen remodeling that occurs naturally over time. The radiofrequency deposited through the skin breaks down the existing collagen structures while simultaneously stimulating the ongoing and robust production of healthy new collagen. The initial results after Evoke treatment may appear starting a few weeks after treatment begins. From there, fat reduction and skin-tightening continue for up to six months.
How long will the results of my Evoke treatment last?
The full results of Evoke treatment generally peak around six months after the procedure. After that point, patients may enjoy their firmer, more contoured appearance for two to three years. The effects of treatment may be sustained for a prolonged period by strictly avoiding unnecessary sun exposure, wearing sunscreen daily, and using quality skin care products to cleanse, moisturize, and nourish. Because collagen breakdown occurs naturally over time and the body makes less of this protein to replace damaged fibers, touch-up skin-tightening treatments can be scheduled annually or at other preferred intervals to maintain youthful, resilient skin.
Are there any risks to the Evoke procedure?
As a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment, Evoke is considered very safe. There is very little risk of unintentional burns or “hot spots” thanks to the safety features that are built into the device. While there are few risks associated with the procedure, patients with certain conditions may not be good candidates for Evoke. We perform a thorough consultation in which we review each patient’s medical history out of an abundance of caution for their health and wellbeing. Inform your provider if you have a pacemaker or other electronic implant, have a history of skin cancer in the treatment area, or have other medical conditions.
