What Is An InstaLift?
An InstaLift, also referred to as a Silhouette Instalift, is both a product and a procedure which can lift the tissues of your face, neck and forehead without surgery. Wow! Yes . . . that’s quite a statement. And while nothing takes the place of a one-on-one consultation, we will explain InstaLift in a bit more detail below.

What are the Goals of a Silhouette Instalift?
Although the aging process is natural, it can be hard to stand by and watch your face lose volume, sag, and develop deep folds or wrinkles. Many people may think a facelift is their only option. Years ago, that was true, but new technology presents new alternatives and InstaLift is a wonderful new alternative.
It is important to clarify that a Silhouette Instalift is not a substitute for a surgical Lower Face and Neck Lift. There is nothing that can achieve the significant lifting, tightening and removal of excess skin that results from Dr. Flaharty’s facelift. However, not all patients want or need a surgical facelift. Some patients aren’t quite “there” yet, or just don’t want a surgical solution. If that’s you, you might be a great InstaLift candidate.
InstaLift features a resorbable suspension suture with bi-directional cones. The sutures lift and reposition the tissue under the skin while the cones hold the skin in an elevated position. Both the cones and sutures are made of glycolide and L-lactide so they stimulate fibroblasts for collagen production. As collagen production gradually matures it deposits volume in the treatment area and provides natural-looking results.

How Does The InstaLift Work?
When placed under the skin, the sutures lift and reposition the tissue and the cones hold the tissue in the newly lifted position. The cones and sutures are made of glycolide and L-lactide – which is similar to absorbable suture material (or stitches). Additionally, the threads and cones stimulate collagen production over time.

As your new collagen matures, it contributes volume to the treated area and provides gradual, natural-looking results. So, as the Silhouette Instalift sutures naturally dissolve, your body’s own collagen and fibroblasts take the place of the InstaLift sutures to help maintain your lifted tissues.
InstaLift offers immediate and lasting results by lifting the mid-face, and adding volume, in one short office visit with Master Injector, Britten Stine!
Who Is A Good Candidate For An InstaLift?
Ideal candidates for a Silhouette Instalift are men and women who are looking to refresh their appearance without surgery. There is no age requirement, however, patients are typically over the age of 35. Patients with healthy skin and moderate tissue sagging are good candidates for InstaLift.

Dr Flaharty & Britten Stine
After your InstaLift consultation with Dr. Flaharty or Britten Stine, ARNP your InstaLift procedure appointment will be scheduled for approximately 90 minutes. The treatment begins with marking the entrance and exit points for the InstaLift sutures. Once numbing is applied and has taken effect, the InstaLift needle, with attached suture and cones, is inserted about 5mm into the skin and guided through the tissue. The needle is guided through to the exit point, leaving the suture and cones under the skin.
This process is repeated for each InstaLift suture to be placed. Once all desired sutures are placed the Provider uses light pressure to press the tissues and threads into place creating the anchoring needed to lift and hold. After the anesthetic takes effect, the actual procedure time is about 45 minutes. Patients are awake but the local anesthetic keeps them comfortable and able to drive themselves home.

What Results Can I Expect from InstaLift Treatment?
Immediately following your appointment, your results will be visible. Although you may see some visible needle marks in your skin, these go away on their own within a few days, leaving behind only beautiful, improved tone. As your body absorbs the sutures and stimulates collagen production your results will continue to develop and improve throughout the next few months.

WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY ABOUT INSTALIFT
“When I heard about the InstaLift at Azul, I was so excited to know I could have instant improvement in just one visit and even better results over time. I am thrilled with the results of the InstaLift. I feel like I had a mini face lift without the surgery! I have depended on Dr. Flaharty and the staff at Azul for years to help me look as young as I feel. Love you Azul!!” ~ Judy W.“As a long term advocate of injectable fillers and Botox to stay ahead of “the curve”, I went to Britten for a touch up. After a thorough evaluation, she recommended an Instalift to relieve draping which was the causing creasing in my upper face. Britten explained this procedure would lessen the amount of fillers I would need. She did the Instalift the same day and I am very happy. I’m now planning another visit to treat my lower face.” ~ Lisa G.
How Long Do The Results Of An InstaLift Last?
The results of the InstaLift can last for up to 2 years, and potentially even longer when the procedure is combined with other treatments, such as skin tightening with RF Microneedling, Botox, or dermal fillers.
Are there Side Effects to an Instalift Procedure?
Patients may experience some swelling, bruising, redness, or minor discomfort after placement. These side effects are mild and typically subside by themselves in a short time. Other side effects can include sensory nerve injury, asymmetry, or banding.
What is the Difference between a Thread Lift and an InstaLift?
InstaLift is not considered a type of thread lift. The new technology of sutures with bi-directional cones doesn’t just reposition the skin but also the underlying tissue. The underlying tissue layers are what really causes sagging. In addition, the sutures are not permanent but are absorbed by the body over 6 to 18 months.

How long does the Silhouette InstaLift treatment take?
The procedure usually takes about 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the number of threads used and the areas being treated.
