We can Evoke Great Feelings about Facial Remodeling
- Posted on: Aug 15 2021
We know it all too well; aging results in the skin looking loose, crepe-like, and saggy often leading to sagging or flattened cheeks, jowls at the sides of the jawline, and the appearance of a double chin. In the past, facial aging has been dealt with either with plastic surgery or with topical products. Today, we have a much wider variety of options as the modern era ushers in a variety of new techniques. At Azul Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa, Evoke is one of the very latest.
What is Evoke?
Evoke is a non-invasive treatment designed to restore a more youthful appearance to the face comfortably and safely. The applicator targets the cheeks and neck, and utilizes patented radiofrequency energy. Unlike lasers, radiofrequency energy penetrates through the upper layers of the skin to affect change in the deeper tissues that help give the face structure and contour.
The Evoke device doesn’t just tighten the skin, it helps remodel collagen and reposition fatty tissue. Treatment is performed through specially designed headgear and a series of applicators within. Each applicator emits controlled radiofrequency energy. When absorbed into the dermis, this thermal energy stimulates cells to produce more collagen and elastin, the chemicals that are critical to the appearance of the skin. Because fat cells also respond to the energy in the Evoke device, the contours of the face change in more profound ways than if the skin alone were treated.
Evoke Facial Contouring
In addition to skin tightening, this treatment is designed to significantly improve the more structural areas of the face, the cheek and neck. Multiple concerns can be addressed at once, including:
- Jowls at the jawline
- Loose skin and excess fat on the upper neck
- Excess fat under the chin
- Softening and lack of definition along the jawline
To achieve the best results from Evoke, patients may need 3 or more sessions. These are performed once a week until the desired improvements are achieved. Tissue remodeling usually starts to become evident after the second or third session. From there, patients may schedule periodic touch-ups to stay ahead of the natural aging process.
