Combining MOXI™ and BBL® for Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation

The world of cosmetic treatments is constantly evolving and improving. Treatments like the MOXI™ fractional laser and the BBL® laser provide stunning results on their own and help rejuvenate the skin.

Rejuvenation

However, these treatments don’t have to be mutually exclusive. In fact, MOXI™ and BBL® treatments can be combined for an enhanced skin rejuvenation experience. Let’s dive into what BBL® and MOXI™ lasers are and how they can be combined for greater results.

Understanding MOXI™

MOXI™ is a specialized fractional laser that gently works on the superficial top layer of your skin and is a great way to treat your skin non-invasively. MOXI™ is usually used to treat pigmentation from sun damage or hyperpigmentation.

MOXI™ does not remove any layers of the skin or create microchannels like some ablative lasers do. Instead, MOXI™ is designed to produce tiny amounts of skin coagulation in a targeted area. This energy triggers the body’s natural healing response, breaks down pigmentation, and begins the production of new cells.

Understanding BBL®

BBL®, also known as BroadBand Light™, is a type of laser treatment that uses bright light to target uneven pigmentation, red spots, and brown spots. The light wave frequency is adjusted to your skin tone for the best results.

Targeted areas absorb the light and become darker. These treated dark spots will eventually flake off or become washed off. BBL® is most commonly used on the face but can also be applied to any area.

Why They Work Well Together

Both BBL® and MOXI™ are powerful treatments on their own. However, together, they can produce powerful pigment removal results and reduce age signs. Here is how the two technologies complement one another:

1. Targeting Different Skin Layers

One of the main reasons this combo is so effective is that it targets different skin layers. MOXI™ goes for the top layers of the skin (i.e., the epidermis), whereas BBL® penetrates deeper into the dermis. This way, you can address a broader array of concerns, whether it’s a superficial pigment path or deeper melanin formations inside the skin. The BBL® MOXI™ combo doesn’t just protect you in the short term, it also keeps the pigment at bay in the long term.

2. Full Rejuvenation of the Skin

The mix of MOXI™ BBL® laser is also beneficial when it comes to offering complete facial rejuvenation. Both treatments target different skin concerns, with MOXI™ having a great focus on skin texture, whereas BBL® goes for excess pigmentation. Together, they can help you reduce sun damage, vascular lesions, and all marks on your skin that appear with age. When combined, they’ll clear and smooth the skin enough to make you look more youthful.

3. Minimal Downtime Expectancy

Perhaps one of the best parts of the BBL® MOXI™ combo is that the treatments have little to no downtime. Both options have minimal side effects such as swelling or redness, but they do not worsen each other. Whether you have the treatments in a row or want to leave a couple of days between them, all the potential recovery effects should be gone within a few days.

Verdict: BBL® removes pigment by damaging it through precise light. This damage is then repaired, and old pigmentation is broken down. MOXI™ uses skin coagulation to achieve a similar result by also engaging the body’s healing response. This process is further enhanced by collagen production.
