Dr. Flaharty is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who has completed Fellowships in Oculo-Facial Plastic Surgery and Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He is uniquely trained and highly-specialized in procedures of the face, neck and delicate tissues of the eyes. Dr. Flaharty earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency at the nationally renowned Wills Eye Hospital. From there he went on to complete two separate plastic and cosmetic Fellowships, making him dual-Fellowship trained and eminently qualified to perform surgeries of the face, neck and eyes.

Dr. Flaharty has authored over 40 medical publications (see his full CV for details). He has also written two books for the public on the topic of facial aging, rejuvenation, surgical and non-surgical procedures, and answers common questions related to these same topics. Dr. Flaharty is proud of his role as an educator, helping patients separate truth from myth regarding plastic and cosmetic procedures. Family Life

Dr. Flaharty cherishes a loving relationship with college sweetheart Kristen Flaharty Pharm. D., their three beautiful daughters, and his adoring furry menagerie including a golden retriever and two rescued cats. The Flaharty’s have consistently found ways to give back locally and support groups like PACE, Lee County YMCA, Canterbury School, and countless other local organizations. Dr. Flaharty also had the honor and privilege to donate his surgical skills in El Salvador while serving as a surgeon on a missionary trip. He is dedicated to fitness, working out in the gym, skiing, competing in triathlons, and hiking.
