Each member of the staff has provided a brief biography for your consideration.
Debbie McDonald – Patient Care Coordinator / Physician’s Assistant
As the Patient Care Coordinator, Debbie counsels our patients and provides information and assistance through the cosmetic surgery procedure. From working in the medical field for over 37 years, Debbie’s knowledge base includes everything from the latest in facial injections to Azul’s Signature Facelift. Debbie is dedicated to making sure your time here at Azul is the easiest and rewarding to you. In addition to the Patient Care Coordinator, Debbie has been a Physician’s Assistant here at Azul for seven years. Debbie also preforms the Fractional Laser, Photofacial, and Laser Hair Removal treatments.
April Millerd – Head Receptionist
Chances are if you visit our Fort Myers office, you will be greeted by April’s smiling face. As the Head Receptionist, April is more than happy to schedule appointments, consultations, or follow-ups for you. She has worked as a receptionist for 14 years, and specifically at Azul for 9 years. April went to school for Business Management and has managed and owned small businesses. Overall April has worked in the medical field for 14 years.
Teresa Distefano – Receptionist
Theresa is another receptionists whose smiling face will greet you in our Fort Myers or Bonita office. She is happy to schedule appointments, consultations, or follow-ups. Teresa has worked as a receptionist in the medical field for over 28 years.
Cindy Doyle – Receptionist/Clinical Nurse Assistant
Cindy is also a familiar face and voice in our Southwest Florida offices. Her position as a receptionist allows her to help schedule consultations, appointments, and follow-ups with the patients. She has also worked as a Clinical Nurse Assistant for 5 years. Cindy has been with us at Azul for a total of 7 years, and in the medical field for 20 years.
Kristy Long – Licensed Practical Nurse
Kristy has worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 11 years, ten of which have been at Azul. She does all of the visual field exams and all of the pre operative visits. Before working here, Kristy worked at the blood bank for 10 years. In total, Kristy has been working in the medical field for 20 years.
Lisa Gorman – Medical Esthetician
Lisa’s experience of 25 years as a Medical Esthetician is a tremendous asset for Azul. Her experience in owning a salon for 12 years has also put her ahead of most estheticians in the area. She has been practicing medical esthetics for physicians for the past 10 years. At Azul, she is our resident skincare expert.
